Do you think the response of the Polish society and government to the coronavirus epidemic has been appropriate?

In recent months, the world has literally turned upside down. Each country tries its best to provide citizens with the best care and support during this difficult period. It was just a matter of time for the coronavirus pandemic to reach Poland. The Polish government took precautionary measures very early; they kept society informed about the impending threat to give time to prepare and make everybody more cautious. This allowed many people to stock up on food, medicines and other necessary things for upcoming time. After first identified cases administration decided to close schools and most of the public places to reduce contact and avoid gathering. Also the borders were closed and all the flights were canceled. Furthermore, the government secure return flights for citizens staying outside the country. Because of the news reporting more and more new cases and even several deaths many people started to panic. Not to say that some do the opposite by regular going out and meeting each...

Is the impact of globalization on our life positive or negative?

Globalization means a process in which particular aspects become similar in all parts of the world. It concerns economic, cultural and political areas among countries. Globalization has become intrinsic part of our life with both good and bad consequences. Quick exchange of information affects on our consciousness of the global situation and helps countries to collaborate. Simultaneously the local aspects such as tradition is diminishing as a result of a mass culture and evolving technology. Furthermore many countries belong to national organizations which limit their independence. As the world turns into a 'global village', we become more and more aware and open to different cultures. Although this irreversible process causes many defects it is necessary for us to move further.

Is lying morally wrong?

Studies show that an average person lies at least six times a day. What is more, scientists believe that telling untruths has became so usual because of its origin in human nature. There are many types of lies depending on what we want to achieve; e.g there are white fibs which we tell out of politeness to avoid awkward situations. But we can also deceive on purpose or hide an important truth, which usually cause further problems and can hurt someone. Lying will always be immoral and poorly perceived by others, but we have to remember that everything is up to our intentions and circumstances.
