Do you think the response of the Polish society and government to the coronavirus epidemic has been appropriate?
In recent months, the world has literally turned upside down. Each country tries its best to provide citizens with the best care and support during this difficult period. It was just a matter of time for the coronavirus pandemic to reach Poland. The Polish government took precautionary measures very early; they kept society informed about the impending threat to give time to prepare and make everybody more cautious. This allowed many people to stock up on food, medicines and other necessary things for upcoming time. After first identified cases administration decided to close schools and most of the public places to reduce contact and avoid gathering. Also the borders were closed and all the flights were canceled. Furthermore, the government secure return flights for citizens staying outside the country. Because of the news reporting more and more new cases and even several deaths many people started to panic. Not to say that some do the opposite by regular going out and meeting each other. During this tough period we should take special care of our health - not only for ourselves but also for the others. Remember that even though you have no symptoms of disease, you can spread it. Especially elderly people are particularly vulnerable because of their weak immune system and other illnesses. It is really hard to say what is right and what is wrong in this whole new situation however our government makes every effort not to repeat the mistakes of others.
Wow, this is well beyond the 100-word limit! However, have you really answered the question, especially its second part? Parts of your text look like advice to all of us rather than an opinion on whether what we as a society are doing is reasonable.
